US Open 2010 Tennis: Men’s Semifinals and Women’s Finals Results and Higlights – Interesting day at the US Open 2010 Tennis today. One of the biggest shocker perhaps is the surprising exit of number 2 seed and five-time US Open champion Roger Federer. Federer lost to number 3 seed Novak Djokovic.
The match between Djokovic and Federer was a match you expected to see in the US Open 2010 semifinals. It was a five-set match in which every breakpoint had been a suspense. In the end however, Djokovic managed to grab the championship slot in a 5-7, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 win.

Djokovic will be up against the well rested and number 1 seed Rafael Nadal. Nadal’s game against Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny was way easier than that of Djokovic.
Meanwhile, in the US Open 2010 Women’s Tennis Finals, Kim Clijsters won an easy victory against another Russian, Vera Zvonareva. Clijsters outscored her opponent in every way and grabbed the title as the only second woman to gain back-to-back championship.
Clijsters scored, 6-2 and 6-1 against her opponent. She is now at par with Venus Williams who also won back-to-back US Championship in 2000 and 2001.
